Did you make it to the Guest of a Guest/Curbed Hamptons Endless Summer party on Saturday night? Unfortunately I was in the city hosting a screening of Srugim (a show about modern Orthodox love, “the most talked-about series on Israeli TV!”) but I genuinely love (seriously, no joking) when Lock goes all Paisley Underground, even though his idea of Steve Wynn is this when mine is that. I’d like to imagine Game Theory’s “Beach State Rocking” playing in the background here but it was probably the new Cee Lo song.
Sorry if you missed it, when else do Fred Wilson and Mary Kate Olsen hang at the same campfire?

How To Not Act Like A Tourist In New York: Additions
Ever since we posted advice on how to not act like a tourist in New York, the suggestions have not stopped rolling in. Here are some of our favorite suggestions from the comments section:
Don’t call regular pizza slices “Cheese Slices”. They’re all cheese.
Don’t buy those generic paintings and photographs of New York from vendors in Central Park.
Don’t go to Macy’s in Herald Square.
Don’t walk around without headphones or a cellphone attached to your ear.
Don’t wait for the cross-walk to cross the street.
If you REALLY want to pass for a New Yorker, buy an apartment in the city and live in it for five years.
Is Nick Denton going batshit? Maybe something struck a nerve? You know what they say, punch a bully in the nose and watch him cry.

“The Janet concert was amazing, she’s a great dancer… the best part was definitely Usher opening for her though. I’m pretty sure it’d be the other way around now”
“Michael Bolton. Fourth grade with my mom. He was in his prime.”
“New Kids. seventh row. I tried to catch donnie’s sweat towel”
“BBMac at jones beach theatre followed by a private screening of the disney original movie “Quints” about quintuplet babies. i was 10”
“No Doubt. I remember they played “Spiderwebs” and “I’m Just A Girl”, and blasted the audience with confetti.”
