Advanced Style And The Style Rookie Host A Cross-Generational Fashion Party At The Ace Hotel
It was my favorite party of Fashion Week 2011 and everyone was getting in on the fun (you can spot me totally getting into blogger mode as my subject was totally getting into her fashion pose mood, above). Ari Seth Cohen’s (aformer GofG’er!) party for Advanced Style, his site documenting the sartorial splendors of fashion subjects in their last stages of life, has taken off. And, last night was no indication he or it have any plans for slowing down. He brought in the young style rookie, Tavi Gevinson, to help him host a “cross-generational fashion week celebration of style, wisdom, classic elegance and flamboyance at the Ace Hotel.” The result was magical.
