How To Not Act Like A Tourist In New York: Additions

Tourists

Ever since we posted advice on how to not act like a tourist in New York, the suggestions have not stopped rolling in. Here are some of our favorite suggestions from the comments section:

  • Don’t call regular pizza slices “Cheese Slices”. They’re all cheese.
  • Don’t buy those generic paintings and photographs of New York from vendors in Central Park.
  • Don’t go to Macy’s in Herald Square.
  • Don’t walk around without headphones or a cellphone attached to your ear.
  • Don’t wait for the cross-walk to cross the street.
  • If you REALLY want to pass for a New Yorker, buy an apartment in the city and live in it for five years.

Anything more to add?
